The first book published by Dialect Boekjes is the picture book “‘t Floortje in d’r Jajajaad”. The book was written by Astrid Frusch and the beautiful illustrations were created by Melanie Frissen from Brunssum. In the picture book, ‘t Floortje, a girl from Limburg, goes on an adventure in d’r Jajajaad. There she discovers the savanna, the rainforest, the taiga, and Limburg. Among other things, she sees a giraffe, a hippopotamus, a gorilla, and a corn wolf.
“‘t Floortje in d’r Jajajaad” is currently available in Kirchröadsj, Broenssems, and Zittesj. In the near future, they hope to release the book in other Limburg dialects as well.
